We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. This opportunity is specifically suited to experienced butchers who are already living and working in the UK under the Skilled Worker route.

Essential Visa Requirement

Applicants must already be in the UK and currently sponsored on a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) under the Butcher SOC code.

Candidates currently sponsored in unrelated occupations will not be considered for this position.

A good and competitive rate of pay is available, subject to experience and the requirements applicable to the Skilled Worker route.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive carcasses from the slaughterhouse and carry out initial processing and primal cuts, including sectioning and quartering.

• Use appropriate saws, machinery and knife techniques safely and effectively.

• Prepare and trim meat cuts to required customer and production specifications.

• Maintain a high standard of accuracy, consistency and product quality.

• Follow strict hygiene, food safety and quality-control procedures throughout the production process.

• Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures when using knives, machinery and other equipment.

• Work effectively as part of a production-line and butchery team.

• Move between different butchery stations and processing duties where required.

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment.

Essential Requirements

• Must already be living and working in the UK.

• Must currently hold Skilled Worker permission and be sponsored on a CoS under the Butcher SOC code.

• Previous professional butchery or meat-processing experience.

• Good knowledge of meat cuts, trimming and preparation techniques.

• Ability to use knives, saws and relevant meat-processing equipment safely.

• Good understanding of hygiene, food safety and health and safety requirements.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
