Our client, based in Northern Ireland, provides full garage services and fleet maintenance to customers across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team.
Role Overview
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to manufacturer standards. You’ll ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant, and play an important role in keeping the fleet running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine inspections, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on LCVs
Maintain vehicles to manufacturer specifications
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
Perform general servicing and major repairs (engine overhauls, gearbox replacements, tyre fitting, wheel alignments, etc.)
Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
Prepare vehicles for PSV/MOT
Provide roadside assistance and breakdown support when required
Work closely with the team and report any issues or delays
Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
What We’re Looking For
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
At least 5 years’ experience working with LCVs in dealer, fleet, or workshop environments
Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
Ability to complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Confident using digital systems for job cards and record keeping
Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
Must have or be willing to take the UKVI IELTS (required for visa and licensing purposes)
